Kairos Blackened Coastal Shrimp

Juicy AND blackened shrimp is the most easiest and big flavor packed shrimp! Ready in under 15 minutes, seasoned with KAIROS Santa Maria Rub, this is an extra quick, very simple, to throw together meal that can be served over anything! This healthy shrimp dish is sure to join your weekend dinner rotation.


  • 1 1/2 lbs (700g) medium raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • KAIROS Santa Maria Rub
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) vegetable stock
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Fresh chopped parsley or cilantro, for garnish


Place a large non-stick skillet with 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat add shrimp. Season with KAIROS Santa Maria Rub, sauté shrimp 1-2 minutes on one side.

Stir and flip the shrimp to cook on the opposite side. Cook shrimp for 1 minute on HIGH to blacken, then add 1/4 cup vegetable stock and Sriracha. Allow the sauce to reduce for 1 minute, making sure not to overcook the shrimp.

Squeeze half of a lemon over the top of the cooked shrimp. Reheat for 1-2 minutes. Remove grilled shrimp from heat, garnish with parsley, lemon slices, and red crushed chili pepper if you like. Serve your KAIROS Blackened Coastal Shrimp immediately, with a side of steamed broccoli, cauliflower rice, or zucchini noodles. Enjoy!
